Editorial Policy

Our guides, comparisons and reviews exist to help you make confident buying decisions. This page explains the standards we hold our content to.

Who writes our content

Articles on DigitalTools are produced by our editorial team and reviewed before publication. Each guide carries a published date and, where relevant, a "last updated" date so you can judge how current the information is. We do not publish anonymous content with no accountable author or reviewer.

Sources and accuracy

We base factual claims — prices, release dates, specifications, system requirements and edition differences — on primary sources wherever possible: official publisher pages, platform documentation (Microsoft, Adobe, Steam, Nintendo, and similar), and vendor announcements. When we link to an external source, it is to support a specific claim. If we cannot verify a figure, we say so rather than present an estimate as fact.

Updates and corrections

Software pricing, subscription plans and game editions change frequently. We revisit high-traffic guides when the underlying product changes and update the "last updated" date when we do. If you spot an error, contact us and we will correct it promptly.

Commercial relationships

DigitalTools is a store, and our guides link to products we sell. Recommendations are written to be genuinely useful first — a comparison that only ever praises our own products would not serve you, and we avoid it. Where a product we sell is not the best fit for a given need, we say so.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish fabricated reviews, testimonials, or customer counts.
  • We do not claim to be an "authorized distributor" or "official partner" of any vendor unless that relationship genuinely exists.
  • We do not copy product descriptions verbatim from manufacturers or competing stores.
